Hello

I’m interested in both software and hardware. I like building things myself, experimenting, figuring out how systems work, and combining different technologies into projects that actually do something.

That can mean writing code, setting up infrastructure, designing a part, wiring a board, or taking something apart to see what is going on inside. Hardware and firmware are both fair game.

Software & infrastructure

What I work with

Programming, Linux, servers and self-hosting, networking, automation, and computer hardware.

Things I explore

Docker, Kubernetes, Proxmox, Home Assistant, ESPHome, ROS, Nginx, Cloudflare Tunnel, and networking infrastructure.

I enjoy building my own infrastructure and learning how its individual pieces fit together. A working setup is nice; understanding why it works is better.

Electronics & embedded

I work with microcontrollers and electronics, including ESP32, Arduino, STM32, PIC, 6502, EEPROMs, VIA 6522, sensors, and custom electronics. I’m also interested in low-level programming and what happens beneath higher-level software.

Making things in 3D

3D printing is one of my practical maker interests. I work with different 3D printers, filaments, mechanical components, and custom designs, as well as CAD and mechanical design. I also experiment with printer and motion-system configurations — because apparently printing a bracket is sometimes only the start of the project.

Robotics

I’m interested in robotics and have been working on ideas around custom robot arms, stepper motors, encoders, gearboxes, motion systems, and custom controllers. I’d rather understand and build the systems myself than just buy a finished solution.

Currently

Building things, learning how they work, and turning increasingly questionable ideas into functioning projects.
